Solar Energy Reform: How will the Feed-In Tariff Cuts Affect Your Business?

From January 1st 2016, the government will be making significant cuts to the current feed-in tariff which currently provide cash incentives for those households switching to solar energy.

The new wave of solar providers in the renewable sector are reporting that the planned changes will create such a demand shock for their products that many will have to cut jobs and may even face closure.

April will deliver a further ‘nail in the coffin’ when the government plan further cuts to the Renewable Obligation (RO) scheme, a separate solar subsidy for larger solar installations.

The cuts are thought to make way for other planned energy projects, namely nuclear and the much debated fracking, of which predicted costs have increased dramatically since it was first proposed.

Will your solar energy company be affected by the plans to cut the feed-in tariff? Are you worried that your company will not be able to survive?

If so, act now. Call us on 01472 254914 to find out how our restructuring services could help you.
