Companies who become a client of Forbes Burton are required to provide certain personal data relating to their roles as a director of a company that we are helping.   These will be retained, as part of the records relating to that customer, on our own secure servers hosted in our offices.  Sensitive information which is collected in relation to building a “Statement of Affairs” which may be needed where a director has personally guaranteed the debts of the company will also be kept on this server.

 

Who operates this website and where are our servers located?

Forbes Burton Ltd operates this website hosted on Hostgator servers, we use Zoho and Mailchimp for our CRM and Marketing Communications, all of these hold the data on their servers in the US and are certified to be compliant with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework with respect to transfer of data to the US.

 

The way we use information

We use the information you provide about yourself when registering for an event, registering to download materials, requesting information from us or signing up for our email newsletter to fulfil your request. We may use it to send you service-related emails related to your account as well as marketing emails in which we may provide you with information about our products or services which may be of interest to you, in line with our legitimate interests. Every marketing email we send you will include an unsubscribe link which you can use to opt out of receiving them at any time, or you can email us at [email protected] and request to be removed from the marketing list.
